I recently attended the ball at Mr. Frank's estate in Wayne. While at the ball, I heard another man gossip about me to another, claiming me unsuitable as a woman. However, two days later, he visited my home, and has asked to see me. Should I ignore his harsh words from that party the other day or simply refuse to see him?

at the ball,and he insulted me by calling me "intolerable". But look now, we are engaged to be married and I could not have asked for a better man. Perhaps there was an ulterior motive to his insult. For example, maybe it was so that his friend would not lay eyes on you. Therefore, you should give him a chance, so that there are no regrets in the future.
