Feudalism ...
Feudalism is a social system, which began in the 8th century in Europe and lasted until the 12th century. It consisted of nobles, peasants and a king. The nobles would protect the peasants in order for them to work in their land. Since the king gave the nobles land, the nobles would protect him by offering him soldiers and/or pay him taxes. Feudalism was unfair since the nobles wouldn't allow peasants to take any of the crops they plant, leaving them hungry and weak. Feudalism ended with the entrance of the black death (p.12-13)because when people started dying nobody would work in the lands, therefore, destroying the whole system.
