Spain Erasmus + Teachers : Visit to Pontedeume !
We were the country selected to be the host of the first meeting of our Erasmus + project “ Your history is our history ”. Thus , our partners , coming from different European countries ( Portugal , Italy , Poland , Lithuania and Hungary ), arrived to Pontedeume on Sunday 6th November 2016 . We received them with an informal welcoming dinner to know each other .
On Monday the 7th , we celebrated a welcoming act for our guests , with the mayor and the culture councilor , in which our students presented a little bit of our history and traditions . Then , our students guided our foreign partners on a tour around our school giving them little information about the most important corners . After that , we had a project meeting to define the activities of the whole project , to combine ideas and create new ones and so on .
After enjoying the Spanish typical food in the school dining room , a group of secondary education students guided our guests on a tour around Pontedeume , in which our partners could know a little more about the history and the most important monuments of our village .
On Thursday morning , we had the second of the project meetings and later our partners had the opportunity to enter some of our lessons to work with our students and also to know about the methodology used in our school , such as cooperative learning , project based learning , thinking skills …
