I guess.
Benjamín was probably right. I felt like I didn’t fit in
anywhere. Not in my neighbourhood, not in my family...
That was my nightmare. Part of Benjamín’s was
his ugliness.
The boys had always bullied him and
the girls always rejected him. I
suppose that’s why he always looked
down at the ground. Because the ground
has no eyes.
When you’re a child you’re able to
find things to push away the pain
with, to distract it. But as you grow
up those things gradually disappear.
