My energy left me after the fifth treatment. I slept almost all afternoon. Chad’s classes were in the morning so he was home to take care of the kids. The church brought groceries by and meals. They were such a blessing.
Our fifth wedding anniversary came around. Chad and I went out to eat, by ourselves … no kids. So glad for that because we had to wait forty-five minutes. Which was fine because even though there was the regular busy restaurant noise it was quiet because of … no kids. We didn’t mind the wait. Did I say we were kid free?
Then after the sixth round, I had more test including another PET scan. We went to the hospital like normal, they took the labs, and filled me up with the test drugs. Then they found out that the machine was broken and would be unable to run the test at that time. I had to wait for Wednesday to do the test all over again at a different hospital.
