His Daughters' Letters Trusting in the Here & Now | Page 23

“Waiting for me?” said the man. “What made you think I was coming?”

“I was praying you would.” she said.

“Praying? When I first heard you, you were saying A B C D E F G. What was that for?” She looked up again and said, “I’m just a little girl. I was praying all the letters of the alphabet and letting God put them together the way He wanted to. He knew I was lost, and He knew how to put them together better than I did.”

(Faith that Moves Mountains, Lee Roberson)

God knows what you need in your life and how to put it together. Godly wisdom is spelled, t-r-u-s-t. The Good News of Jesus Christ would be meaningless without bad news. You can't bathe in Light unless you've shivered in the chill of darkness.

Each day is a gift card with possibilities. It entitles you to something, and what you get is 100% your decision.

How will you spend your gift card today? I'll use mine for joy, peace, and love. They're ours for the asking because God is faithful. That’s the world as I see it because it’s the world I’ve seen.

Trust Him. He is worthy.

In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon teaches that apart from God, even the largest gift card buys nothing of lasting value.

Rejoice in every relationship gift, no matter what time frame God assigns.

Blessed be the LORD my Rock.

The LORD upholds all who fall,

And raises up all who are bowed down.

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him.

The LORD preserves all who love Him.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,

Whose hope is in the LORD his God.
