trauma, even raw wounds of broken or ended relationships.

God wastes nothing. Even in tribulation and loss, there is a blessing. And usually a lesson, if we’re willing to learn it.

Trust Only the Worthy Leader

Authority is recognized, not proclaimed. One is considered authentic when words and actions match, when emotions are genuine, and when he or she is proven trustworthy and reliable. Worthy leaders are authentic. The promise of a worthy leader is as good as delivered the moment it is spoken.

Leaders deserving our faith have purposeful plans and unlimited commitment to help those who follow increase their own confidence and ability. In other words, discipleship. The currency of leadership is trust - faith in the master’s constancy and commitment.

The power of habits, common sense, and fear disappear in the soft voice that says, “Follow me.” Christians are saved by faith.

No one makes it to heaven without failing someone they love – including Jesus.

Puzzles, predicaments, and obstacles present the opportunity to overcome, grow, testify, learn, and test your faith. Faith strengthens every time God brings you through to victory.

When pressed, faith grows. The evidence of faith is peace, contentment, serenity, and hope. Anger, anxiety, and aggression are all products of one emotion – fear.

What counts against us in our most precious relationships are the things we didn’t do we knew we should, and the things we did we knew we shouldn’t. Faith is built on standards, trust, consistency, and commitment. Fail in one, and fear wiggles into the opening.

Building faith is a matter of experience and trust. Experience is the predicate of perspective. It colors your world. Fear is too strong to be driven away by anything less powerful than faith.

The Perspective of Trust

A farmer found a little girl lost in his meadow. The farmer said to her, “Do not cry; I’ll take you home.” The little child snuggled up to him, and with a smile, said, “I knew you would; I was waiting for you.”
