The word for strong also means courageous but that is not the word used in this verse. The word ‘amats is a Hebrew verb which also means; confirm, establish, obstinate, fortify, steadfastly minded… Our trust is established and fortified in the Bible. It is confirmed in what God has done in our lives. When we are obstinate with steadfastly minded in our trust we are courageous to do what God has asked us to do.
Because God yalak - walk, carry, lead, bring … us through to do what he wants us to do we have no reason to dread, fear, terrified … or confounded, broken, dismayed, beaten down … When God leads us to do something out of our comfort zone, we have no reason to be afraid that we can’t do it or might fail at it because he will carry us through giving us what we need to act on what he wants us to do. As we trust him in his leading we will be blessed by being obedient to his calling.
