Even though we need people in our lives
sometimes people aren’t there when we
need them to be, even the best of us, but,
irrespective of that, there is one who will
stick closer to you than anyone and that is
God! For “God is our refuge, a very present
help in the times of trouble (Psalms 46:1,
NKJV).” For the word of God expressively
states “Give all your worries and cares to
God, for he cares for you (I Peter 5:7, NLT)”
and God also promises us that “When we
go through deep waters, He would be there
for us. When we go through rivers of diffi-
culty, we would not drown, as well as, when
we walk through the fire of oppression, we
wouldn’t be burned up, for He is the Lord,
our God, the Holy One of Israel, Our Savior
(Isaiah 43:2, 3).” Now who do you know can
make such promises and then keep them?
No one, only God. That is why it is so reas-
suring to know who your true source is! I
know who my source is and that is why I
seek the Lord for his help daily and his will
to be performed in my life for his glory.
Don’t ever allow circumstances, people
that walk out of your life or anything that
may transpire in your life to make you think
you are alone for God is always near and
open to your cries and is never too busy to
hear you when you pray and commune with
him. He is without a shadow of doubt our
“Abba Father” (Romans 8:15, NLT). God
loves you very much and not a day goes
by that he isn’t watching over your life and
keeping you safe from dangers unimag-
inable. In conclusion, when you are tempted
to start feeling overwhelmed and feeling like
you are by yourself and that no one under-
stands your pain and all that you are going
through, affix your eyes on God! Remember
that Jesus came on this earth, suffered, bled
and died for your benefit. And, he doesn’t
make that supreme sacrifice for a person
that has no value. He considered you so
valuable that he atoned for your sins and for
mine and that atonement, within itse lf, is a
true testament of his unconditional love for
all of mankind!
For God so loved the world so much
that he gave his one and only Son, so that
everyone who believes in him will not perish
but have eternal life (John 3:16, NLT).
