FOR YOUR INSPIRATION
Brokenness Into
Gloriousness
by Evangelist Uche
T
he times I write my best are usually
when I have nothing to write about.
Sometimes, when I am broken. In
these times, I pour myself out before
the throne of grace and ask the good Lord
to fill me with His words and with His
thoughts. Then I start to write. As I do, a
thought is dropped into my spirit. I write it
down quickly and it evolves into a message
that blesses someone, somewhere at the
point of their deepest need.
Mary and Martha were broken, crushed
even. Their beloved brother Lazarus had
just died and had been laid in the tomb for 3
days. Oh, how they believed God could save
Lazarus from dying. But He didn’t and now
it was too late, or was it? In their broken-
ness, Jesus came and was close to them. He
spoke with them, He reasoned with them
and He mourned with them. But most of
all He performed one of His most profound
miracles, He raised Lazarus from the dead.
Brokenness had just led to gloriousness.
Brokenness brought Jesus in, and broken-
ness glorified Jesus.
Let me tell you something, you are
most powerful in your brokenness. Why?
Because God is very close to the broken-
hearted. Ain’t nothing wrong with being
broken, we are all broken at some point in
our lives. Rather than seeing the hopeless-
ness of your situation, see and used it in a
positive light. You are about to conjure a
narrative that will touch millions of lives
worldwide. People are going to perceive you
as authentic and relate to your openness as
you share your experience. God is very near
you, and if you will believe Him, if you will
allow Him – He will turn your brokenness
into gloriousness.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are
of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a
contrite spirit – Psalm 34:18
