They ’ ll be coming out of the woodwork at Hawkesbury Showground on the May 20-21 weekend when Hawkesbury Woodcraft Co-Operative hosts the 2023 Australian Scroll Saw Network ( ASSN ) Biennial Exhibition .
The ASSN is a national association of woodcrafters which keeps members throughout Australia up to speed with news involving their craft .
Now twig to this , you have to be a sap or bark-ing mad not to roll up to the showground to witness what promises to be a woodworking wonderland of entertainment and fun .
Throughout both days , showgoers will be treated to a host of woodworking demonstrations including scroll sawing ( amazing ), wood turning , pyography ( mindboggling ) and wood carving by craftsmen and women from near and far down the east coast of the country .
The biennial show gives these artists the opportunity to show the magic they can produce using wood .
The show also features local crafts groups displaying their skills and selling their huge variety of products .
Other notable stallholders in attendance will be the Silk Bazaar , Australia ’ s premier creator of hand-dyed silk , Carbatec , the country ’ s largest supplier of DIY and woodworking tools , and Norglass Paints and Specialty Finishes .
