The annual State Gem & Mineral Show is back on Saturday 13th September 9am-5pm and Sunday 29th September 9am-4pm. It promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Proudly hosted by the Gem & Lapidary Council of NSW Inc., a not-for-profit organisation, this is the only gem, mineral and jewellery show officially run by the Council in New South Wales. It’ s widely recognised as the largest and most prestigious event of its kind in the state.

For over a decade, the show has been held at the Hawkesbury Showground, and 2025 is no exception.

As in previous years, the event will

showcase an impressive selection of indoor and outdoor traders, with the indoor stalls filling the expansive Phillip Charley Exhibition Hall.

Many well-known traders will return, alongside exciting new exhibitors joining for the first time.

Traders are travelling from across Australia – including NSW, Queensland, Victoria, ACT, South Australia and Tasmania – to bring you a diverse and captivating range of items for sale, including:- High end mineral specimens- Faceted gemstones- Handmade silver and gemstone jewellery- Rough material for cutting and polishing- Queensland boulder opal

- Fluorescent minerals- Cut and uncut opals and crystals from various fields- Persian turquoise- Crystals in all shapes and sizes- Intricate beadwork- Air plants set on natural stone- Lapidary tools and equipment- Live faceting demonstrations A standout feature is the Club Competition A highlight of the show is the Club Competition, which features entries from lapidary club members across NSW.

These exquisite, handcrafted items are judged across a wide range of categories including faceting, cabochons, fossils, freeform work, enamelling, gem trees, silver jewellery, carving, and mineral displays. These competition pieces are

unique to this event and are not to be seen at any other gem or crystal show.
