More signatures needed to fight for infrastructure
with Ray Williams MP Member for Kellyville
The Minns Labor Government insists that the Hills Shire grow by an absurd 88 % over the next 5 years without any
increase in basic infrastructure. To combat this absurd surge in housing, we are supporting the Hills Shire Council’ s campaign to‘ Fight for a Fairer Hills Shire’ and calling on the NSW Government to address traffic gridlock, lack of schools and further overdevelopment in our area.
20,000 signatures are needed to have the matter debated in the NSW Parliament – so we need your help! All that is required is your name and email address( which can remain confidential). It’ s quick and easy – and we need your support!

Lights, Civics, Action! Entries Open for Parli-Flicks 2025
by Mark Hodges MP Member for Castle Hill
Castle Hill school students are invited to roll camera and shine a spotlight on democracy, with entries now open for the 2025 Parli-Flicks Short Film Award.
This annual competition is hosted by Parliament of NSW, and it challenges students from Years 5 to 12 to create a one-minute film exploring Australia’ s Westminster system of democracy and the role of parliament in our society.
The 2025 theme is,‘ What do I value about democracy?’
There is a lot to value in representative government— from fair elections to having a voice when important decisions are made.
I encourage students in Castle Hill to enter! I cannot wait to see your talents and imagination on full display as you reflect on what democracy means to you and your role as a young citizen.
Films will be judged across five categories: Best Regional, Best Metropolitan, Best Primary( Years 5 & 6), Best Junior Secondary( Years 7- 9) and Best Senior Secondary( Years 10 – 12).
The overall winner will receive $ 500 and a Parli-Flicks 2025 trophy, with $ 100 awarded to each shortlisted entry. Entries close 8 August 2025.
