Boosting community projects : $ 450,000

in grants open for Castle Hill electorate

The NSW Government is kicking off 2025 with an exciting opportunity for local communities in Castle Hill .
Through the Community Building Partnership ( CBP ) Program , $ 450,000 in grants will soon be available to support projects that enhance local infrastructure and bring communities closer together .
The CBP Program , established in 2009 , has already funded over 20,900 projects statewide , investing more than $ 464 million into New South Wales communities .
This year incorporated not-for-profit organisations and local councils in Castle
Hill can apply for grants ranging from $ 10,000 to $ 100,000 to support eligible projects .
These can include building , refurbishing , or repairing community infrastructure or acquiring freestanding equipment or vehicles .
The program ’ s focus is on creating lasting social , environmental , and recreational benefits while fostering community participation and inclusion .
Shadow Assistant Minister for Western Sydney and Member for Castle Hill , Mark Hodges MP , highlighted the program ’ s importance , saying , “ This is a long-running
program for a reason – the grants make an important and lasting impact in our local communities .”
He encouraged eligible organisations to identify priority projects within the electorate as the application period approaches .
Applications open on Tuesday , 28 January 2025 , and will close at 5:00 pm AEDT on Friday , 21 February 2025 . Successful applicants will be announced in August 2025 .
Mr Hodges also emphasised that local communities often know best what their area needs , and the CBP program provides
a platform to address those needs effectively .
