GALSTON ROAD OPEN FOR NOW Galston Road will temporarily reopen this month after the heavy rainfall that hit the area , causing the road and surrounding slopes to become unstable causing landslides .
There are still a number of sites of concern which needed repairing , including Tunks Creek bridge , says NSW Roads .
There is more stabilisation work to do , with Galston Gorge closing again for work later in the year .

BEHIND-THE-SCENES AT DURAL COUNTRY CLUB
Gardening guru and bowler Elizabeth Goode took part in the Dural Country Club ’ s working bee recently , preparing the gardens on the course in readiness for the first Living Choice Carnival .
Three women bowlers and seven men bowlers arrived , armed with hedgers , whipper snippers , pruners , rakes and blowers and all did a great job with the ground maintenance – which is imperative behind-the-scenes work .
The group also send out a thank you to Chris Farmer who is a whiz with the hedging .
Dural Country Club , which was formed in the 1960s , is located at 662A Old Northern Road , Dural .
FURRY LEAVES ?
Children at the Hills Eco Kids ventured off to the garden at the Annangrove Environment Centre to collect leaves for their nature craft activity .
They found all sorts including furry , funnylooking , rainbow colour and spikey leaves during their explorations , which included looking at spiders and what they do in nature .
After painting the leaves they collected , children collated them into a large Lyre Bird artwork . Even some parents got involved . If you ’ d like to get involved in these adventures , email

WOW CITY ADVENTURE FOR SES
Hornsby SES took off for a WOW of a trip into the city as part of Wear Orange Wednesday in support of our SES volunteers during the official Volunteers Week celebrations .
Crew members represented Hornsby at State Parliament and Sydney Opera House events , meeting with Premier Dominic Perrottet and SES Commissioner Carlene York who joined them for a picture in front of the Orangecoloured Opera House .
