What is your project about ? For my Gold Award project I created three geocache sites on South Kingstown Landtrust property , for people to stay healthy during quarantine and beyond . Inside the geocache are cards that included information about the trail they were on . My targeted audience gained skills of navigating a GPS , knowledge about Rhode Island , and having an overall healthier and happier attitude when hiking outside . My Gold Award project makes exercising fun for children and their families .
How will being a Gold Award Girl Scout effect the rest of your life ? While earning my Gold Award I was able to learn how to communicate and plan a project . These are skills that I will take with me throughout my life .

Troop 1067 , Somerset , MA Veteran Memorial Reflection Area
What is your project about ? My Gold Award aimed to address the need for a reflection point for visitors to honor and remember veterans killed in various conflicts for our country . Battleship Cove is home to
the official state memorials for those killed in WWII , Korea , Vietnam , Desert Storm , and 11 September . By landscaping
and creating this unified permanent memorial reflection area ,
visitors will be able to enjoy what they are viewing , but they will also be able to know the history about it , all from their
mobile device ! This is an effective way to get the community involved in history and be able to understand the importance of these memorials that represent our heroes .
How will being a Gold Award Girl Scout effect the rest of your life ? Being a Gold Award Girl Scout will effect the rest of my life by teaching me proper life skills for future jobs and it also comes with multiple benefits . As I am
currently enlisted in the Air Force , having the Gold Award has promoted me up a rank . Without this award I would ' ve had to wait 6 months for this promotion .
Also , I am proud to have earned this award as it will also help me in my future career in the nursing field . Having this Gold Award is a great achievement to put on my resume and I am so glad that I was able to complete it .
