Guided Walking Holidays Group Sizes Our guided walking holidays are ideal for groups of friends who enjoy walking as well as more formal walking clubs that wish to explore further afield. Guided walking holidays are generally available for groups of between 4 and 24 people. The type of accommodation used and the price of the holiday will depend on the number in the group. We like to use smaller, more informal guest houses, where possible for our holidays, but this won’t be feasible with larger groups. The price of the holiday is dependent on the number of people in your party and prices on our website are given as a guide to probable costs. Please contact us if you would like further information or a price for your group. Guides Our bilingual guides will make sure you make the most of your holiday through professional, informative & supportive leadership. As well as ensuring safe progression, the leader will bring to life the region, through their passion and knowledge on such subjects as history, geology, food and wine. We only use experienced guides that are resident in the country. The guide will pace the day so that there will be plenty of time to take photos, relax and soak up the atmosphere. Flexibility Flexibility around local situations or circumstances by changing the itinerary where appropriate. For example if the weather was very wet and everyone agreed that they did not want to do the day's walk, the guide can provide transport to a location to look around an abbey or castle. Your guide can also help in terms of under- standing the best routes for the group’s interests and abilities. Most of our guided walking holidays can be arranged to start on any day of week within the periods detailed, subject to availability. Tailor-Made All our guided walking holidays are to some extent tailor-made to suit you and your group's requirements. The guided walking holidays are adapted to suit your group's abilities, interest and size. Although there are many guided walking holidays detailed in this brochure, if there are particular options or changes you are looking for, please contact us to discuss. Destinations We have assembled a range of walks to suit all abilities & tastes from relatively gentle strolls through vine covered slopes of the Jura and the Beaujolais in France to more challenging mountain walks in the alpine heights of the Vanoise National Park. We also have a number of guided holiday destinations which are not cov- ered by our brochure. These include the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert in Morocco and the Picos de Europa in Spain. Travel Options Our guided walking holidays in France have pick ups from various airports or train stations such as Lyon for our Beaujolais & Burgun- dy holidays & Toulouse for our holiday in the Tarn. Pick up and transfers from other locations may be possible for some holidays, but may be subject to a supplement. For more details about practical flights for each guided walking holiday, please visit our web site or contact us for more information. We can also provide you with details of secure locations to park your car if you wish to drive. 6
