Guided Walking holidays

Many of our guided walking holidays in France have a pick up from Lyon airport or train stations. Our guided holiday in the Tarn has a pick up from Toulouse or Rodez airports, whilst our guided holidays in the Auvergne also have a pick up from Clermont Ferrand as well as Lyon. Pick up and transfers from other locations may be possible for some holidays, but maybe subject to a supplement.
For more details about the practical flights for each guided walking holiday in terms of times, please visit our web site: www. highpointholidays. co. uk or contact us for more information. The following airline companies operate to French airports: Easy Jet, BMI Regional, Ryan Air, Flybe, British Airways and Air France.
We can also pick you up from the local train stations and provide you with details of secure locations to park your car if you wish to drive.
Many customers now wish to take advantage of low-cost flights or special deals offered by other transport providers such as crosschannel ferry companies. For this reason, with the exception of local transfers, travel to France or the UK is not included in the holiday package, allowing you to make your own travel arrangements.
However, if you would like some help or advice in making your travel arrangements we will be very happy to help. Please send us an e-mail:

Independent Walking

Independent Walking Holidays
For most of our independent holidays you can start your holiday on any day of the week, subject to availability. Each holiday has different arrangements for getting to your first night’ s accommodation before your walk starts. Sometimes transfers from the local train station or airport are included in the holiday price, but NOT long distance travel. Please see the holiday pages for more details about what is included in the holiday price and the start dates. All of our holidays in the Beaujolais and Burgundy include transfers from Lyon in the price. As well as regular direct flights to Lyon from the UK there are now direct train services from London St Pancras to Lyon Part Dieu. Below and on the following page you’ ll find some specific information about getting to the meeting point for the start of your holiday by plane, train and bus. Some flights and train times may not prove practical with regards to booking into your first guest houses or for booking local transfers. If you would like more information about travel options for getting to the starting points of the holiday, please consult our website or contact us by telephone or e-mail. We are also able to book travel arrangements on your behalf. If you are in any doubt please contact us before booking your travel arrangements.
