When you don’t have a healthy mental health, it usually takes a toll on both your
mind and body through mental disorders. There are many different types of mental
disorder that can happen if your mental health isn’t kept healthy. Our mental health
can be affected by several things, including traumatic incidents that happened to
us, genetics, and stress from work or school tasks. When our brain can’t catch up
with all the things that we need to do, we tend to become stressed. If not treated
properly, these small stresses can lead into bigger mental health problems, like
depression and anxiety.
Having a mental disorder will really take a toll on both your academic life and social
life. Tragedies and changes, one of the main triggers of mental disorders, are
inevitable in our life. As we grow up, there will be more of these things happening.
There are ways to help our mind and body to adjust to these changes.

Get together
Hangout with your friends or parents. Your parents have more life experience than
you do, even if it seems like they never experienced what we experience. Don’t be
afraid to tell someone things that you're going through
Cut yourself some slack
When you're in a lot of stress, your hormone levels will be off the charts because of
your emotions and the trauma that you are going through. Be prepared for this and
go a little easy on yourself and on your friends.
Create a hassle-free zone
Home should be a place that is free from stress and anxiety. However, if you don’t
feel comfortable at home, you could always go to a nearby park or area that is
calming and comfortable for you.
