To Have Known an Angel To have known an angel is bittersweet I have known an angel that one day I hope to meet His name is Beniah My second child I couldn't keep Some people have known the pain of loss and to them my heart goes out The anguish and the pain can’t simply be tossed They’re people no one wants to live without Many will not acknowledge your name My dear Beniah But just know that they’re not to blame for never feeling this pain I think about you everyday When I look at your sweet sister play I imagine what life would be like to see you two right there I often hope to hear you laugh or see you smile in my dreams I sing to you and touch your sweet face and everything is perfect, so it seems But then I wake to find that you are not there I can’t hear your cries The agony can be hard to bear What hurts the most is knowing that so many others don’t treasure the beauty of a child the chance to shape a life-the greatest pleasure Continued… 5
