Mr D Steed, Head of House
Let me start by saying congratulations to every member of Tolkien house
who contributed to our fantastic victory over the other three Heritage
houses at the end of last year. We can proudly say we were the overall
winners of the Heritage house competition 2012 -2013 despite a very close
finish. Well done Tolkien!
A new year brings a new start and with this a new group of Tolkien
prefects. All prefects have been selected based on academic progress,
positive attitude and attendance. Congratulations to the 14 Tolkien
students below:
Melissa Greveson (T-CW), Shannon Hancock (T-CW), Scott Jennings (TJBe), Chloe Kelwick (T-JBe), Ryan Bannister (T-AL),
Damian Jefford (T-CW), Mark Newton (T-LB),
Jessica Milburn (T-VR), Demi Lee (T-VR), Billy
Dring (T-ADv)
A special mention should be given to
Shannon Hancock and Damian Jefford who
were selected to be Tolkien House Captains
by Heritage staff.
Yet again the best house won Sports Day! From foundation to elite
athletes competing Westwood was extremely well represented.
However, a big thanks must go to Darcey Pattison for organising our
athletes; without her things wouldn't have worked. A special mention
must also go to Brody Walters and Jordan Whiteman who not only
won their races/events but also beat school records. This year we
hope to organise lots of exiting eve ??[??\??\?H[??Y\\]??[??[????XZ??[?[??????H???^K??\?????\?H??[Z?H?[???X?H\?YX\??&\??\?B??\Z[???]\?B??X?]Y\???]?[??\??^H[?\??^B?]\??[?????\Z[???YX?H??Z?\???\??????Y?X??\?N??YY?[??Z\?]\?H?]?Y\???X?[\??^K?^X[??H[?X?[??[?YH????Y^B??[\??X]]?[KY[H?[?Y??K?X\??[??[?B??[X?\??T?Z]?X??H?X]^H[??][?H?]K?????Y[??Y[??\?B????H?Z[???\?\?YX\????]???\?B?XY\???\????[?H[??Y\]?\B??\??]???XY??\?B??\????XY??\?B??
