ECO Heritage Heritage is working towards becoming an Eco School. We have set up a planning committee of staff, governors and students but we also need support from parents/carers. The School Business Manager, Mrs Lindley is leading the project. Mrs Bennett, proud mum Josh Bennett attended Heritage High school until 2010 when he left and applied to go in the Royal Navy. In June 2013 he got his call up to HMS Raleigh at Torpoint in Cornwall for the first 10 weeks of Naval training. The first 10 weeks training is tough and requires a lot of physical fitness. The 27th September 2013 was Josh’s Passing Out Parade which was a prestigious event. Now Josh is on the second part of training at HMS Collingwood in Fareham where he trains to do the job he signed up for which is a Warfare Specialist. He will be at HMS Collingwood for 16 weeks where he will be trained to work on a Type 23 frigate such as HMS Argyll. Once this is completed he will be deployed to his first ship. Josh has settled into naval life very well and loves what he is doing and is looking forward to an exciting career. Debbie and Laura’s Zumbathon Laura Brough, Debra Brough, Alana Mills and around 50 ladies supported Breast Cancer Care by doing a 90 minute Zumbathon at Heritage High School on Friday October 11th 2013.
