The day has come to an end, and the experience in a class that has showed me what I was capable of, will die with it’s memory. Writing has accompanied me even when I don’t want it to. After endless classes of trying to come up with ideas that I can work with, I can finally say that I can find myself writing eternally until my fingers and wrists swell. I will never understand how writing has given me so much pleasure, but what I know is that it has helped me this entire year, and until now I know how. It has helped me motivate myself to be a better student, by making me finish my writings and other tasks in the way. I also figured out that it has helped me by solving my own personal problems which has led me to realizing how much things my family does for me. The quote on the back of this portfolio explains how your family and friends will always be there no matter what. I didn’t realize this until I organized my thoughts with the writing I did. Most of the writing in this portfolio expresses how I feel about family, specially mine. Some of them may seem a little creepy, and over the top, but they all have a meaning that my family and friends have given me. I decided to organize my pieces in a certain way that they start with a more realistic way that I see my family. For example, my first piece is about my mother, this piece is real, and I talk about my personal family. The last piece I put in my portfolio is about a mother who kills her baby because she burned him. This last piece is not about my personal life, but I decided to write it so I could express some feelings about stereotypes and family, that connects somewhat to mine. Quarter fours pieces that are in the middle have to do with family, and the other ones I just randomly placed them there.
