corner back and kick returner during the 2025 season. His bread and butter was his defensive though, totaling 28 tackles last season with five pass deflections. Davenport will be returning to the fold this season as a veteran on the team’ s offensive line.
Other names to watch are the team’ s rising quarterback Phoenix Rodriguez, who finished last season with 1,299 passing yards and six touchdowns as well as Brayveon Colbert at the receiver position who caught 32 passes for 486 yards and three touchdowns in 2025.
Castillo also named the defensive line units and linebackers as key positional units to watch this season. Teeters is one of the names manning the linebacking core alongside players such as Lagarin Savage, Jordan Rector and DeWaune Berry.
Castillo acknowledged the toughness of the district this upcoming season and how the schedule isn’ t getting any easier, however he is confident in the team’ s talent and believes their buy-in to his system will lead them down a path of success this season.
“ It’ s a tough district, but we’ re going to battle every week, but if we battle and do what we’ re supposed to do, we’ ll live with the results that we get,” Castillo said.
