“ Our strength is going to be our skill positions,” said Compton.“ We have a lot of skill coming up from eighth grade and a lot of returners in the skill positions. We are going to be physical up front and be very competitive in the running game.”
The Indians, at 0-4, finished fifth last year in the District 10-A-I standings last year behind 4-0 Union Hill, 3-1 Savoy, 2-2 Leverett’ s Chapel and 1-3 Savoy.
“ Our district is going to be weaker than last year I feel like,” said Compton.“ There are a couple of teams that lost a great amount of seniors. Union Hill is the team to watch.” What must the Indians do to be successful?“ We need to learn to play hard, be physical and aggressive,” said Compton.“ We need to play all four quarters as a team and minus the mistakes which will help us be successful.
“ We need to become a team all around and gain leadership across the board. We will have a lot of new faces that are going to be put into spots and if we can learn how to play as a team we will be very successful,” he said.
