Uland, who went on to coach Wylie Prep to three more six-man state titles, was inducted into the first class of the Texas Private School Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.
Fauley, who played quarterback for Uland, has said he wants to continue Uland’ s legacy. Uland talked to the Eagles during their first fall workout.
“ We did a lot of talking about what it takes to win,” said Uland.“ The idea would be to follow Jesus’ plan.”
Fauley said most of the current Eagles reported to spring training in good shape.
“ It was obvious some had really worked hard in the offseason and some had not,” he said.“ We’ ve got to get bigger, faster and stronger in a hurry.”
