That’ s what the Greenville Christian Eagles are returning for the 2025 sixman football season. Experience and lots of it.
The Eagles lost just one senior to graduation off last year’ s team, Austin Wilburn, who signed a letter of intent with Concordia.
Greenville Christian is returning five starters on offense and defense off a team that finished with a 58-13 win over Rockwall Providence to go
2-7 for the 2024 season.“ We return five on each side of the ball,” said Brandon Fauley, who is back for his second season as head football coach of the Eagles.
Fauley and his assistant coaches worked with 14 varsity candidates during spring practice. The Eagles also worked with a bunch of eighth graders who’ ll be freshmen this season. In all the Eagles had 33 players practicing in spring football, including high school and middle school. They’ ll have one of their bigger varsity rosters this fall.
“ We’ ll have 21 to 23 on the varsity,” said Fauley.“ The largest team we’ ve had since 2008-2009. It’ s been a long time since GCS has had 20 players on the roster.”
