ALCOHOLISM
-
Alcoholism is a chronic disease.
It can be identified when the
signs of physical addiction to
alcohol is present. And also can
be checked, when a person
continues drinking alcohol, due
to various problems with
physical health, mental health,
and social health, family, and
job responsibilities.
There is no known cause of
alcoholism. But some research
suggests that particular genes
may rise the risk of alcoholism.
Mostly, the cause is connected
with mental health. Depression,
bipolar disorder, anxiety
disorders, stressful lifestyle are
some causes which are related
to mental health. If a man takes
15 or more drinks a week, if a
woman takes 12 or more drinks
a week, and if anyone take five
or more drinks per day within a
week, he/she has a chance of
developing alcoholism. One
drink is defined as a 12-ounce
bottle of beer, a 5-ounce glass of
wine, or a 1 1/2-ounce shot of
liquor.
People who have alcoholism
usually have these kinds of
symptoms:
* Want to drink, even though
he/she has no any problem.
* Become rude when drinking.
