13th Monaco Blue Initiative : the future of the Ocean Planet is in our hands

The 13th edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative ( MBI ) on the 20th and 21st March 2022 , under the auspices of Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Oceanographic Institute with the Albert I Prince of Monaco Foundation , tackled key issues , reconfirming a stage of primary importance to unveil new challenges for ocean management and conservation . As in the past years , the Monaco Blue Initiative thinktank panel brought together at the Oceanographic Museum scientists , decisionmakers , international organizations , philanthropists , the corporate and civil sector as well as indigenous supporters and locals to debate proactively on balancing coastal economic development and environmental protection . The need to establish a clear road map for the next decades on a scientific base is becoming increasingly motivated also in the light of the new developments on the international scene . The 2022 edition reasserted that we human beings , are strongly tied to the Sea World whose natural balance is crucial for the survival of our species . The future of the Oceans is the future of Humanity .

Hotel and Lodge Magazine put on a spectacular event in Paris to unwrap its 2022 winners for the best hotels in the world . And being “ green ” has taken over their imagination as love for the environment and ecology radiate out from Monaco to join enthusiasts all over the Globe . For the very first time , this year in 2022 there is a special Hotel & Lodge Green prize . This is the editorial staff ’ s favourite for a hotel resolutely committed to an eco-responsible and sustainable development approach . There are many contenders for this distinction and from them the Monte-Carlo Beach in Monaco was unveiled heading the ranking of its best hotels around the world in the Green category .
