WORDS OF WISDOM IN MONACO
: What do you do to keep in shape ? DZ : Fall in love . Every couple of months .
: Really ?!
DZ : And I paint big murals , that keeps me in shape . I work for hours and hours .
: Could you imagine , if you were not an artist , who could you be ?
DZ : You know , I love paint so much , that if I was not an artist , I would just be painting houses or painting the streets . But then , professionally , I think I would love to either be a chef , or a detective . Investigation , I ’ m a junkie for that .
: Do you have a dream ?
DZ : I have so many dreams . But I think it ’ s time for me to let other people enjoy their dreams . God gave me so many dreams and made them true and completed . So , it ’ s time to let other people dream , I ’ m enjoying that right now .
: Why are you here in Monaco ?
DZ : I ’ m here for the show because it ’ s a great gallery . I ’ m doing my exhibition with the Louvre Museum in Marseille , and it ’ s not so far to present the artwork here . After the pandemic , it ’ s a wonderful opportunity . A lot of people come here from all over the world , so it ’ s good to share with everybody and give a little .
: Is it your first time in Monaco ?
DZ : No , I ’ ve been here many times , but mostly for fun .
: What do you think about Monaco ?
DZ : I love it . I love the energy of Monaco , it ’ s always moving , the energy is good . Formula 1 , tennis , this and that .
: Do you want to live here ?
DZ : I can ’ t because I live in New York and I have two kids in New York . But , it wouldn ’ t be a bad place to live , to be honest with you . I went to see Picasso ’ s house today , that a friend of mine just bought in Mougins , it ’ s beautiful there too . Botero lives in Monaco , he ’ s happy . I have so many friends here . It ’ s a beautiful place and they ’ re doing a great job ; the Pastor family , which I know , and the Prince and everybody . The city is looking more beautiful every day for everybody , not just for the tourists but for the locals too .
