THE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF MONACO RECEIVED PRESTIGIOUS ACCREDITATION
Monaco is undeniably an epicentre of cultural and social life on the Mediterranean and even the period of the pandemic hasn ’ t changed it . There have been several important and noteworthy events held over the last few months . We offer you this list which features a kaleidoscope of interesting events that made the headlines in the media .
This year , the International University of Monaco received a prestigious accreditation , making it one of the world ’ s 890 most recognized educational institutions . In France , for example , only about 20 business schools can boast such a prestigious merit . Preparation began in 2015 to meet AACSB standards . A major audit was organized last November by three different business school deans . The verdict did not take long : IUM is accredited by AACSB for five years . The university focuses on finance and luxury areas . Moreover , the university has managed to establish a connection with the economic life of Monaco . Another success for the school was that The Economist ’ s annual rankings ranked Monaco ’ s MBA at number 33 out of 100 this year .

CLEAN ELECTRICITY FOR MONACO ’ S PAVILION IN DUBAI ’ S UNIVERSAL EXPO
Monaco ’ s commitment to the environment extends to clean electricity for its Pavilion in Dubai in the Universal Exhibition which opens from October 1st , 2021 and continues to March 31st , 2022 . In fact Monaco has installed almost 300 square metres of solar panels which will be supplying Dubai itself with clean electricity from the sun for the next several months . The idea is to generate enough clean energy before the Expo to then tap into the electricity network during the Universal Exhibition to supply Monaco ’ s Pavilion ’ s needs , thus compensating for its use .
CHAMPIONS FOR PEACE LAUNCH # WHITECARD CAMPAIGN 2021
The Champions for Peace , an international group of high level sportspeople , have officially launched the 2021 # WhiteCard campaign in April . Under the motto ‘ Behind each # WhiteCard , there is a story ’. Holding up a white card is now recognized as the symbol of the peacethrough-sport movement . In contrast to the red card , which signifies the most serious offence in sport , the # WhiteCard symbolizes inclusion , equality and peace . Throughout the pandemic , the # WhiteCard has now become an expression of unity and solidarity through sport . Every year for the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace , the platform www . april6 . org is full of inspiring stories about the victories of peace through sport . Through the platform , everyone is invited to download all the elements necessary to share their stories .
