The majestic ‘ Grand Bal des Princes et des Princesses ’ unveiled its beauty and magic . Placed under the High Patronage of H . S . H . Sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco , the event took place on June 17 , 2021 , at the Hôtel de Paris . The glamorous atmosphere included sumptuous banquets and splendid performances . Guests had the opportunity to rub shoulders with royalty , VIPs and stars of the big screen . Delia Grace Noble , opera singer and UNICEF ambassador , is the artistic director of this unmissable event . The Grand Ball is also a charity event ; part of the funds were donated to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation , as well as to the Princess Grace Foundation .
THE MONTE-CARLO MUSIC MASTERS 2021
The Monte-Carlo Piano Masters was held in Opera de Monte-Carlo on June 16 – 19 . This competition is reserved for finalists of international competitions , competing for the Prince Rainier III Prize , worth € 30,000 . In addition to being finalists in another international competition , they must also have an extensive , varied repertoire . And in the finale in Monte-Carlo it was a Russian genius pianist that prevailed . Prince Albert II wished to thank the entire AS Monaco Basketball team for their Eurocup victory by holding a reception on Thursday 17 June in the private gardens of the Prince ’ s Palace . After congratulating the team , HSH the Prince presented each member of the Roca Team with a medal for Physical Education and Sport . Prince Albert II was in the front seat during match 1 of the basketball Eurocup finals , which took place in the Salle Gaston Médecin at the Stade Louis II on 27 April . After an extremely suspenseful match , the Roca Team , under the guidance of coach Zvezdan Mitrovic , took the victory by a narrow margin , with a score of 89:87 . The team then played the second match of the tournament finals against UNICS in Tatarstan , Russia on 30 April . The Sovereign watched the game from the Prince ’ s Palace as the team won with a score of 86:83 . This first European title for Monaco ’ s basketball players is a historical moment for French and Monegasque basketball , more than thirty years after Limoges , the last French winner , took the cup in 1988 . That ’ s only two French team winners in 33 years ! And the Roca Team was only created nine years ago . In that short amount of time , the team climbed from fourth level in France to qualifying for the Euroleague , to winning their first European trophy .
