L.D. Bell High School
Reaches Out to the HEB Community
Students at L.D. Bell work hard each day to excel in
academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities,
and they still somehow find the time to support the
community through outreach and service projects.
Each year, the Blue Raiders unite around several
philanthropic projects to make a difference in the
lives’ of others.
This year, they “backed the blue” with a special
dress day in honor of a fallen police officer. Students
also collected canned goods for the 6Stones Black
and Blue Food Drive and for a holiday donation
drive to support local families
in need.
Blue Raider clubs support many local organizations
and causes including the Bedford Animal Shelter,
St. Philip-sponsored “Jump for Joy” event, HEB
Clothes Closet, City of Hurst tree lighting and judo
tournament, Bedford’s SuessFest, the Raiders for
Change drive, and many more. The L.D. Bell student
body has a heart for the community, and when it
comes to lending a hand, the Raiders always rally
to help others.
