Intesa Sanpaolo supports sustainable growth projects of LU-VE Group
Intesa Sanpaolo supports the sustainable growth projects of LU- VE Group . The multinational from Varese is listed on Euronext Milan and is leading operators in the air heat exchangers sector . The Group has benefited from two loans of EUR 15M , for a total of 30 million , from Intesa Sanpaolo and backed by a SACE Green Guarantee with funding provided by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti . The S-Loan Climate Change is part of Intesa Sanpaolo ’ s broader plan to support corporate investments in the environmental transition and the achievement of the objectives linked to the “ PNRR ” ( the National Recovery and Resilience Plan ). Specifically , the loan is intended for the development plans of LU-VE Group , aimed at mitigating climate change . The Group contributes
directly to the well-being of the environment through the development of heat exchangers that use natural refrigerant fluids ( CO2 , ammonia , propane , and glycol water ), instead of hydrofluorocarbons ( HFCs ), with the consequent benefit of eliminating or drastically reducing the negative impacts on the environment ( ODP - Ozone Depletion Potential and GWP - Global Warming Potential ), thus also responding to the green needs of its customers . The ESG ( Environmental , Social , Governance ) improvement objectives linked to the S-Loan financing for LU-VE Group provide for the adoption of a Green Procurement Policy and the maintenance in the company fleet of a predetermined percentage of vehicles with reduced environmental impact .
To implement the company ’ s sustainable development and carbon reduction goals , the global leader in professional thermal energy technology , Kaori Heat Treatment Co . Ltd . the parent company took the lead ahead of the regulatory requirements and has been verified following ISO 14064-3:2006 as meeting the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018 by the SGS Taiwan Ltd . on 10th , August 2022 ., with a 100 % achievement rate . Meanwhile , to reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on global warming , Kaori has teamed up with “ GHG Survey Committee ”
in 2021 to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory and promote carbon reduction-related operations , and use ISO 14064-1:2018 standards to prepare a greenhouse gas inventory report to check the direct and indirect sources of greenhouse gas emissions within the scope of operations to meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders for carbon emissions information . Statistics of greenhouse gas emissions in 2021 , including direct emissions of 326.6783 tons of CO2e , indirect greenhouse gas emissions of 15,626.4738 tons of CO2e , and total emissions of 15,953.152 tons of CO2e .
Milestone achieved in the production of steam generator
Russian integrated nuclear power major Rosatom has completed welding of the steam generator heads for Unit 5 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project .
According to Rosatom , preliminary , support components and 11,000 heat-exchange coils were completed inside the steam generator . Automatic welding of the heads is performed with heating at a temperature of 120 to 250 degrees for seven days . The welding of the two welds required 660 kg of wire and 935 kg of flux . Further , specialists will perform local heat treatment of welds and a full range of technical inspections , including hydraulic tests and eddy-current tests of heat-exchange tubes , Rosatom said .
The steam generator is a heat exchange equipment , part of the reactor facility , and belongs to the first safety class items . The equipment is about 14 meters long , over 4 meters in diameter , and weighs 350 tons . The equipment of one of the four steam generators for the nuclear power plant . India ’ s atomic power plant operator Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd ( NPCIL ) has two 1,000 MW plants ( Units 1 and 2 ) at Kudankulam , while four more ( Units 3 , 4 , 5 , and 6 ) are under construction . All six units are built with Russian technology and equipment supplied by Rosatom .
