Thermal Energy International Inc ., a provider of innovative energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction solutions to major corporations around the world , has received an order for a heat recovery and heat pump project valued at approximately CAD 2.8M from a leading multinational pharmaceutical company . “ We are thrilled to announce our third heat recovery project with this customer within the last 15 months ,” said William Crossland , CEO of Thermal Energy International . “ This continued partnership , facilitated by our global master services agreement , is a testament to the trust this industry leader places in our innovative energy efficiency solutions . The three projects announced thus far will play a fundamental role in helping them |
meet their 2030 emission reduction targets as cost-effectively as possible . With approximately 40 of their sites identified as opportunities for our technology , we are excited about the significant potential to further support their sustainability journey .” The turn-key project includes both indirect contact HeatSponge ® , a direct contact FLU-ACE ® heat recovery system , as well as an integrated heat pump . The project is expected to deliver approximately 93 % boiler efficiency . Additionally , the anticipated reduction in natural gas consumption is estimated to cut CO 2 emissions by 728 tons per year , representing an estimated 11 % reduction in site CO 2 emissions . The project is expected to be completed and revenue earned within 12 months . |
Swedish heat pump manufacturer Qvantum has officially launched its UK subsidiary , Qvantum United Kingdom , at a high-profile event in its new Moorgate headquarters . The launch event featured presentations by Qvantum UK executives , including technical sales director Darren Manley and aftersales technical director Geoff Turton . Special guest Thomas Nowak , former Secretary General of the European Heat Pump Association and now Qvantum ’ s VP of Government Relations and Public Affairs , provided insights into the future of renewable heating in Europe . The company , known for its unique approach to renewable heating technology , wants to rebalance domestic energy consumption in the UK with demand on the electricity grid . In light of its recent MCS certification , Qvantum shared its |
insights into the UK heat pump market with the industry and the press , highlighting the need to incentivise investment in the market to speed up its growth as subsidies have proven to be weak market drivers . Sharing its vision for the future of heat pumps , Qvantum demonstrated its idea of the ‘ energy density doughnut ’, where waste heat from city centres could be repurposed by an integrated ‘ ambient loop ’ heat pump network that spreads to the intermediate and outskirt zones , creating circularity in heat production . The integrated Qvantum system , consisting of a tank unit , a hydronic unit , a selection from its range of heat pumps , a smart controller , and additional digital services , would allow building owners and operators to store energy from the grid when it is the cheapest and distribute heat at peak times . |
