The health of Korean cuisine
The most common ingredients used in Korean cuisine are vegetables, which we all know are packed with essential macronutrients and micronutrients for maintaining good health. From the side dish to the main dish and from fresh to fermented, vegetables such as cabbages, bean sprouts and spinach are used. Also the use of garlic, ginger and other beneficial spices.
Meat, on the other hand, is used sparingly, increasing the health benefits of Korean cuisine. Even when it comes to a meat dish, Koreans prefer lean and healthy types like lean meat, chicken breasts, and fatty fish. As a result, the risks of cardiovascular disease are significantly lower, thanks to a lower content of saturated fat and cholesterol in Korean cuisine.
