BABY STEP YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS
How do we go from minimal movement to continuous, nourishing movement during our day? We baby step our way there! The ultimate goal of "7,000-10,000 steps + nourishing movement every day" has been broken down. PLEASE do not go from a sedentary lifestyle to 10,000 steps per day, as you are likely to hurt yourself. Instead, work your way to the goal.
To select the right step, it is helpful to know how many steps you currently take daily. Track your steps for 3 days to find your baseline. (See page 18 for more info.) Then pick the Step that challenges you to add 500 - 2,000 more steps per day. For instance, is your baseline 2,200/day? Pick Step 2- Minimum of 3,000 steps per day. NOTE: "Nourishing Movement" is discussed in Video 6 on page 17. Don't forget to complete (or review!) the LEARN IT: Move Habit teachings on page 16.
