Why "Metabolic" Workouts?
Metabolic workouts intentionally influence our metabolism.
All types of exercise, whether it is cardiovascular training (running, speed walking) or strength training (weight lifting) can have positive effects on your body and your overall health. Each has its specific benefits as outlined in the Exercise Section of The Academy. In HFLA, we recommend and provide what we call "metabolic workouts." These unique workouts intentionally influence your metabolism by combining both cardiovascular and strength training into one short and concise workout. These workouts are designed to force your body to release special hormones, which turn on your fat-burning potential.
