The all or nothing mindset was holding me back until I embraced the baby steps. The arthritic pain in my hands is gone!

I've lost weight

and inches, lowered my A1c, and have more energy and endurance to do the things I love!

Over the years, I faced more and more health challenges, including multiple surgeries to repair joints damaged largely due to my weight. My mobility was limited, and I experienced frequent joint pain.

I tried almost every diet out there- Nutrisystem, South Beach, keto, Weight Watchers, the cabbage soup diet, you name it!

While I had some success off and on, the results were never sustainable. When I heard Katrina talk about her holistic approach to health, I decided to try Healthy Free Life for just one month.

That's when I recognized that my all or nothing mindset was holding me back and I embraced the baby steps as something I

could maintain.

Committing to HFL gave me tools to focus on more than just food through the multi-faceted approach of 7 health habits such as strengthening my worship habit and starting the workout videos which I can do even with my physical limitations- I can mix and match the beginner, intermediate and advanced exercises!

Since I've been eating the HFL way, the arthritic pain in my hands is completely gone! I've lost weight and inches (I had to buy smaller size pants!), and my doctor was amazed with the change in my A1c which dropped from 6.4 to 5.8 in just four months!

The amazing thing is that I've done this without being perfect. I've reduced my

sugar intake, but haven't cut it out completely. And while I don't eat perfectly, my meals are more nutrient-dense than ever. In fact, I'm going through the Glorious Food Revival again.

I’m enjoying both the big and small benefits of this new way of living. In addition to less arthritic pain, losing weight, and lowering my A1c, I have more energy and endurance. On a recent cruise, I surprised myself by walking for miles without getting breathless and even taking two stair steps at a time! My next goal is to be able to get off the floor by myself.

I am still on my journey, but the HFL way has shown me that lasting change is possible, one baby step at a time.
