The colder it gets outside, the
easier and more tempting it is to stay
tucked under the covers. The more
you hide out, the more likely you’ll
become isolated and ease out of your
routine. Almost like magic (it may
feel more like black magic), you may
find yourself alone and becoming
increasingly more sedentary. By taking precautions to remain committed
to self-care over the winter, you’ll
applaud yourself when spring rolls
around. Here are five tips to help you
beat the winter blues. Try one or try
them all – but keep forging ahead in
rain or sleet or snow!
1. Give It a Break: If you don’t
reside in a tropical paradise, plan a
vacation that allows you to do laps
in a luxurious outdoor pool, run on
the beach in a simple T-shirt, or take
leisurely bike rides on a delightful
boardwalk. Giving yourself a break
from the cold will help keep you
active and alert. Plus, you might even
appreciate the beauty of winter once
you return home.
