The following charts display the individual results of each of the four initiatives and how each one was rated .
Respondents were asked to rate the importance of Process Improvement at their organization — defined as accelerating cycle time , reducing variability , automating where possible , and improving reliability . Threequarters ( 75.2 %) of participants rated the Process Improvement initiative as extremely important , some 22 % rated it as very important , and only 2.4 % rated it as somewhat important . Only 0.3 % of respondents suggested this initiative is not important to their organization .

Respondents were also asked to rate the importance of Provider Data Management at their organization — defined as the capturing , validating , analyzing , and managing data on employed , affiliated , and referring providers . More than two-thirds ( 71.6 %) of respondents said this initiative was extremely important , and one-fifth ( 20.4 %) rated it as very important . Few rated this initiative as only somewhat important ( 2.1 %) or not important ( 1.3 %).
