Course Overview:
This course has been developed to provide you with the necessary information to enable you to understand
the core duties responsibilities of the nominated Comp etent Person (Ventilation) as detailed within HTM 03-01.
The course will provide an insight into ventilation systems, air conditioning system components, identification
of appropriate filter grades and the need for humidification and de-humidification.
It will also cover anti-legionella precautions, AHU audits, construction/maintenance issues, and verification of
critical system airflow and pressures.
It is designed for managers, technical staff and consultants, who need an understanding of how to
manage ventilation systems used in the Healthcare environment. These are contained in Health Technical
Memorandum (HTM) 03-01, with a view to undertake the role of Competent Person (Ventilation).
