MEET THE TEAM

BEHIND EVERY SOLUTION THERE ' S A STORY

OUR TEAM SHARES WHY THEY ENJOY THEIR WORK AND SOME OF THEIR FAVOURITE MEMORIES
FINDING THE PERFECT FIT
“ I’ m relatively outgoing and a quick learner so the opportunity to join the HealthQuest team was a natural fit,” Deanna Skinner comments. She is the regional manager and a Registered Nurse with the team.“ It’ s tough to put words around the feeling you get when the custom compression garment you haven’ t slept over for three weeks fits. When you see someone get back to their exercise routine because their arthritis is under control, or when you see a woman look in the mirror for the first time after breast surgery. It’ s safe to say that I’ ve cried my share of tears – happy and sad – with some of these clients. It’ s about making a difference in their life.”
“ Some of my clients have been with me for years,” says Jennifer Fillier, Certified Pedorthist, who is approaching her 12- year anniversary with HealthQuest.“ I love helping people. Many of my clients work long hours on their feet. One client
I saw a couple of months ago stands out. She works in retail and I recommended a pair of shoes from a new vendor we have introduced. Weeks later [ our team member ] Sheldine ran into her at her place of employment. She recognized Sheldine from her visits to HealthQuest and asked her to tell me that she was so happy with her shoes and that they were‘ 45 million times better’ than any she had had previously. She is very happy with them which makes me feel very happy.”
OUR CLIENTS KEEP US MOTIVATED
“ People may think that a pair of shoes or orthotics are a minor element of overall health and wellness,” notes Hilary Gosse, Kinesiologist,“ but for many people they make massive differences in their daily lives. It might just be someone whose feet are sore after a long day of work, or it could be someone who has a history of a lifelong back injury or had been in a car accident. Either way, it ' s very rewarding helping these people find relief.”
WE’ RE STRONGER TOGETHER
“ We work in an important part of rehabilitation,” says Sheldine Osmond, Kinesiologist.“ The ability to help change someone ' s life for the better is rewarding. Working in a multidisciplinary team enables us to provide solutions to clients that may not have a clear solution or may feel like they have already tried it all. Being able to work as a team not only makes work more enjoyable, it also helps find a solution that wouldn ' t be as simple on your own.”
“ It’ s rewarding to help people”, adds Sarah Courtney, Customer Experience Administrator.“ No day is the same and everyone who walks in has a different story – I love that. Sometimes it’ s challenging to find the right solution, but when we come together and make it happen, it feels good knowing you made a difference. Everyday my coworkers make me feel valued – we have an awesome support team.”
