Pet Owners: What you need to know Register Your Pet With Lake County All dogs and cats, including indoor cats, over 4 months of age must have a current rabies vaccination and wear a Lake County rabies tag when outside the home. Rabies tags can be purchased through your veterinarian at the time of vaccination, or at the Animal Care and Control office. Low-Cost Pet Vaccination Program To provide a convenient and affordable way for Lake County residents to keep pets up to date with their shots and rabies tags, low-cost vaccination clinics are held during warmer months of the year.
