PAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTICE SPECIALTY Interventional pain management specialty is a unique in that the physicians manage the chronic pain syndromes of different types of pain, such as chronic back pain, neck pain, cancer pain, phantom limb pain, peripheral neuropathy, shingles, osteoporosis with compression vertebrae, chronic headaches, complex regional pain syndromes like causalgia and reflex sympathetic syndromes with very refined targeted treatments. These treatments are added with multimodal approaches inclusive of physical therapy, acupuncture, medications and minimally invasive techniques to block the pain. We also provide advanced minimally invasive pain therapies which include spinal cord stimulators (pacemaker of the spine), and intrathecal catheter implantation with computerized drug delivery system. OFF THE CLOCK WITH DR. ARORA I have lived in the South Bay for the past 25 years and have been practicing pain management for more than two decades. I am very passionate about helping patients with chronic pain with specific targeted therapies using multidisciplinary approaches, which are cost-effective and safer for the patients. I am married, with two grown-up children. My wife has a Masters of Science degree from USC and works in the clinic as a physician assistant. In our free time, we like to travel, golf, ski and scuba dive, and socialize with our friends. “Helping someone reduce their pain and improve their quality of life with a smile gives me a lot of satisfaction.” oursouthbay.com | 2013 Southbay Health? 77
