Let us Imagine!
Imagine that we are made in The Image of God. God is Deity. God is Supreme. God is Almighty. God is Sovereign. God is Holy. God is Majesty. God is I am. God is God. God is Uncreated Creator and Creative God. God is Omniscient. God is Omnipotent. God is Omnipresent. God is Alpha and Omega. God is Good. God is all knowing. God is All Sufficient. God is Singular. God is Plural. God is Eternal. There are 365 Names for God in The Bible. Each Name denotes an Image of the Characteristics and Attributes of God, Who is unlimited in dimension and definition. God is Spirit. God is Truth. God is the Image of Spirit and Truth. The Word is Spirit and Jesus is Truth. Truth is A Person, not a word that differentiates absence of truth.
How do we then understand the meaning of The Image of God and how it impacts us and our lives? According to the Hebrew meaning and explanation, Image in the context of Creation in Genesis would mean the flawless and exact expression of God. All His attributes and characteristics, which is multi dimensional and multi faceted and indescribable, unfathomable, innumberable, endless and timeless, are representative of His Image. In Psalm 82 we are called gods. Just like a lioness has lion cubs or little lions, we are gods. We are of God. Paul says that we should not despise the fact that we are like God!
Jesus is called the Son of God. Jesus is made in The Image of God. He is also called the King of kings. That means God is Supreme King. Jesus is called The Lord of lords.
