Beloved, no matter what you are going through, you can effect a positive change in it by asking yourself questions. Asking your yourself questions is the first step to cause a change in your life. It will show where the problem is and how to solve it. Are you in a financial mess? Ask yourself how you brought yourself into it. Is your home at the verge of divorce? Ask yourself not your spouse why things are getting out of hand. If you are in a state you don’t like and you want to go forward, ask yourself questions not any other person.
See, repentance or change of mind precedes a change or breakthrough. That is why the bible says that let the wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts (Isaiah 55:7). In other words, in every aspect of life it is when a man makes a U-turn or changes his mindset that he makes a change in his life either for good or evil. Success starts with a change of mind. Likewise failure begins with a change of mind. A change of mind initiates every move of change either for good or evil.
Hear me, you can change your level now by changing your mindset; choosing another destination and taking steps to your destination. Change your mindset and change your life; choose a destination and get direction; and change your course and take steps and reach your destination. For instance, let assume you want to travel. The first step is to make up your mind where, when and how. Where is your destination and how is your step or route to your destination.
It is a pity that millions of people are wasting away today because they don’t have a clear picture of their lives. They don’t have a destination and they are praying for direction. Listen, God doesn’t sponsor aimless people or
flops. You can’t get a direction until you have a destination. Spiritual forces of God can’t help a man without a destination. Hear this, as a child of God you must not pattern your life after things but after purpose for purpose will bring you all things you will ever need in your life.
Back to the story of the prodigal son, he changed his mind or thinking. He chose a new destination- his father house not minding shame and reproach awaiting him. He made up his mind to be one of his father’s servants. He said, ‘I will arise and go to my father and he arose and came to his father’ (Lk 15:18-24). By following the 3 steps that govern law of change, he changed his life and status forever.
Hear this: until you dare your fears, you will never become a hero. Heroes are people who dare their fears, risk their necks and damn the consequence. We can see this in the story of the 4 lepers. They decided to go into the camp of the enemy not knowing what would befall them there. Their new destination was the camp of the Syrians. They went and their lives changed. They even became deliverers to the nation of Israel (2 Kings 7:3-10).
Listen to this, the reason why people remain or die in their condition is because they are not ready or desperate enough for a change.
According to the law of change, you just need to change your mindset, choose a new destination and follow the path to your destination. You can use this to change any area of your life or your situation. Make up your mind about who you want to be or what you want to achieve, define it clearly and go for it, and in next few days, weeks, months or years you will be smiling. Shalom.
