LAW OF CHANGE
The first step is repentance or change of mind. Repentance or change of mind is spiritual foundation or root for any change to take place in your life spiritually that will culminate to physical changes. For a sinner to become a saint, he must repent or change his mind. For a poor man to become rich, he must repent of poverty or aspire to be rich in his mind. For a sick person to become healthy, he must choose to be well. For a failure to become a success, he must repent of failure or choose to succeed.
See, repentance or change of mind precedes any form of changes either spiritual or physical. Repentance begins by a change of mindset by asking yourself serious questions as per why you are in that condition or situation. The prodigal son changed his life by asking himself questions. The bible says: “So he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have fed on the pods that swine ate; and no one gave him anything” Luke 15:15-16
This was the terrible condition of this prodigal son who had squandered his inheritance on harlots and unfriendly friends. His condition was so bad that he wanted to identify with swine by eating their food but he did not get the privilege to eat swine’s food. No one would give him even animal’s foods. But then the bible says: “But when he came to himself he said, ‘how many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, but I perish with hunger. I will arise and go to my father,” Luke 15:17-18
Wow! The prodigal son had a change of mind by asking himself question. The bible says that he came to himself i.e. he woke up mentally
and meditated on his father goodness. And it worked out for him. He got the positive change or breakthrough.
What of 4 lepers at the gates of Samaria. The bible says: “Now there were four men who are lepers at the entrance to the gate; and they said to one another, “why do we sit here till we die? If we say, ‘let us enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the camp of the Syrians; if they spare our lives we shall live, and if they kill us we shall but die” (Kings 7:3-4)
These 4 lepers also had their breakthrough by changing their mindset according to the spiritual law of change. They asked themselves questions, why do we sit here till we die? The answers to their questions led them to a change of mind or thoughts which led to their breakthrough.
Friends, a change of mind brings a change in the spirit realm which culminates into a change in the physical. In other words, to have a change or breakthrough in your life, career, ministry, marital life, etc, you must ask yourself questions for answers to your questions will give you the key of solution to your problem.
Beloved, no matter what you are going through, you can effect a positive change in it by asking yourself questions. Asking your yourself questions is the first step to cause a change in your life. It will show where the problem is and how to solve it. Are you in a financial mess? Ask yourself how you brought yourself into it. Is your home at the verge of divorce? Ask yourself not your spouse why things are getting out of hand. If you are in a state you don’t like and you want to go forward, ask yourself questions not any other person.
