Healing the Inner child
Irrespective of our age, we all have something
childlike within each of us. Everyday we hear
things like be the child you are. Explore the child
within etc… etc… and we wonder. What child
who are we talking about? O.K. yes, I was a
child, years ago, so why do you want me to go
there again? I am an adult now, why should I /
How should I be a child again? The question “
Would you like to relive your childhood again?
Gets mixed reaction from gleeful ‘Yes’ to
frowning ‘No’.
Asking how many of us can recall the childhood
years again, too has a varied responses ranging
from yeah a few key memories to some detailed
narratives and a few near 90% blackout of any
childhood memories.
We all get naturally drawn to a child to their innocent smiling eyes, playful
antics, naughtiness or simply their lost in their own world look. Is it due to
some deep connection we feel with the child within ourselves? Each of us
irrespective of our age , position status or roles has had those :- when you
have ran behind butterflies, picked up pebbles, made silly faces or just
fancied a cotton candy!
What we are today has a lot to do with what we have experienced as a kids
and our parents being our closest ‘Connect’ have a huge impact on that
phase of our experience ‘Psychic Healers and Energy Workers have seen
that we all have strong energy connection with our parents, especially our
mothers which to them is visible as energy cord and string connecting us with
our parent, especially mothers!
So as therapist when we work with a client to heal the inner child or do the
inner child work with a client to heal the ‘Inner child work’ it become
imperative that we take into account the parental impact on each and every
situation, specially while handling the early year issues. There may be issues
where either of the parent may not be directly involved, still if we ex[plore we
will find that even their absence has a big role to play in that impact.
