easy task to convince my family members that I wanted to study
hypnotherapy and had to fly thousands of miles away, all by myself. I
assured them that in return they would get a happier wife, daughter,
mother and sister.
I needed to get to the root cause of my negative thoughts and
feelings, even if I had to fly to another part of the world. I wrote an
email to the school in London and to my pleasant surprise, the school
replied that they are coming here to Singapore to conduct their first
ever hypnotherapy course, at one of the hospitals in Singapore. They
asked me to contact the principal who was right now interviewing
students in Singapore. Phew!! What a relief for my family members,
now I could stay here and attend the course.
As I was already studying counselling psychology, the principal
allowed me to join in with the first batch of students. I could say that
things were just unfolding for me; it was like I was being guided by
some divine intervention.
So, at age 45, I started my learning journey again, as a student of
hypnotherapy. Looking back now, It was the best decision I ever
made. Right from that first class, which I attended in 2007, my life
changed completely. As we had a lot of practise sessions, we would
go in and out of hypnosis many times during class practise and that
lightness and calmness that I felt after every session was the most
amazing feeling of inner peace I had ever experienced. After
completing the basic course and experiencing the wonderful changes
within myself, I decided to take the diploma course so that I could be a
certified practitioner and share this wonderful healing modality with
others.
Wow!
